Noticed this cafe with ‘Home of World Champion Barista’ signage on its glass window and decided to head there for brunch.
Cant say much about the service, as we weren’t served when we went in and we just grabbed a table ourselves.
We had the Big Breakfast $15, Porridge w/ Grated Apple $9, and Soy Latte.
There wasn’t a long wait but after my coffee came, I knew the latte had been frothed too hot, as I couldn’t even hold on to the cup for too long. And consequently, there were lots of milk clumps in my coffee- which happens when soy milk have been over-frothed. Acclaimed ‘Home of World Champion Barista’, you would think the baristas there knew what temperature they should heat up soy milk to. And I was looking forward to some beautiful latte art too ): which of course I never got.
The food was disappointing as well, the bacon and bread from the Big Breakfast was overcooked and it was quite difficult to eat. The porridge was alright- just your average porridge.
Overall, an overrated cafe and a very disappointing experience.
